We don't want anyone to be without or struggling for food in Liverpool. St Mary's are committed to helping people in need and you can access free food in the following ways:
Food Box
At the back of the main space in St Mary's there is a food box of non-perishable items. Feel free to take up to 5 items. There is no limit to how often you can visit this box.
Foodbank
After a very successful emergency foodbank hub during lockdown, St Mary’s PCC has agreed to continue the foodbank hub on Fridays at 1-3pm. It is lovely to welcome all the volunteers into our building and Trussell Trust to serve our community. For further information about other locations in South Liverpool see this link.
Zero Waste
Zero Waste Liverpool is not a foodbank or related to anyone's income. All the food is dated for that day and Zero Waste helps to make sure stop the food going to Landfill sites. There are 4 sessions each day in various Church Halls across Liverpool. For some sessions you have to go on facebook to order your bag from 7am that day. Other sessions you can just turn up to. Here's a link to the Facebook page.
Emergency Hardship Grant
Small grants for Church members can be made available in exceptional circumstances. Please email info@stmw.org.uk or speak to our Vicar, Jude if you would like more information
